APA Term Paper
Speaking about APA term paper we should say that APA style is used to describe term paper writing style instructions that are developed by the American Psychological Association. The Association has worked out a standard for APA term paper writing style which is currently used by writers in the business, social sciences, education, and psychology.
Here are some basic rules of writing the APA term papers:
Your APA term papers should include, in the order listed below, as many of the following sections as applicable.
- Title page. The APA term paper title page includes a running head for publication, title, byline, and affiliation.
- Page numbers and running head. Each page of your APA term paper should include a 1-2 word version of your title in the upper right-hand corner. Follow with five spaces and then a page number.
- Abstract. Write a 75-100 words overview of your APA term paper; include your main idea and points, if required by your instructor.
- Headings. Heading can be helpful for your APA term paper writing, but not absolutely necessary.
- Visuals. Use tables, drawings, charts, and graphs. Do not forget to label each visual with an Arabic numeral and include the title for the visual.
- List of references. Alphabetize your APA term paper list of references by the last name of the authors.
- APA citation style requires two sections for citing sources:
1. Reference citations in text enable the readers to locate the source of the cited information in the reference list. These references in the APA term paper include the author’s last name and the year of publication enclosed in parentheses.
2. Reference list provides the information necessary to identify and retrieve each source.
- Every section of your APA term papers should begin on a separate page.
- The APA term paper should be typed and double-spaced on standard-sized paper (8,5×11 inches).
- The outside margins of your APA term paper should be set at one inch on all sides.
- A header with consecutive pages should appear in the upper right-hand corner on each page including the APA term paper title page.
The APA term paper has special formatting standards for the use of indentation and italics in manuscripts or papers that will be submitted for official publications. For more detailed and specific information on these standards, consult your supervisor to determine his/her style preferences.
